Classroom Updates

It has been awhile since I have posted on our blog! We have been very, very busy in the classroom, as we dig deeper into our curriculum, and I have been personally busy with the preparation that goes along with parent-teacher conferences. Now that conferences are over, I can honestly say that I enjoyed each conference and getting to meet with parents one-on-one! You are all very blessed to have such special children!

Fundraiser Info
Today is the day that your child was supposed to turn in any Discover Indy coupon book orders. Students need to be sure to turn in BOTH the envelope and the coupon book, even if they chose not to participate in selling books. If your child has not returned the coupon book and you are not purchasing it, please send it in tomorrow, if possible. The school is keeping track of unreturned coupon books! Student Council Spirit Day
Tomorrow is crazy sock or slipper day! Please wear your crazy socks and/or slippers! You may also bring 50 cents to buy a snack. Available snacks for purchase will include white cheddar popcorn, Cool Ranch Doritos, Nacho Cheese Doritos, Chex Mix, or Tropical Tie-Dye Fruit Roll-ups. If you are planning on wearing slippers, please wear regular shoes to school. You may change into your slippers when you get here.

Spirit Wear Order Forms
Today your child is bringing home order forms for Brownsburg/Delaware Trail spirit wear. The holidays are just around the corner, and these always make great gifts! If you would like to place an order, please return your order to school by this Friday, November 19.

Classroom Party
Our classroom party will be on Wednesday, November 25th at 2:30 p.m. You are welcome to attend! Our room mother, Angela Newberry, is in charge of planning the party, and several of you have already volunteered to help or make donations.

All Pro Dads
This Friday is the All Pro Dads breakfast at 7:45 a.m. in the DT cafeteria. Any dad or father figure is welcome to attend with their student!

Christmas Ideas
Teachers never expect for their students to bring them gifts. However, many students often do! Several parents have already asked if I have a classroom wishlist. At their request, I am working on creating the classroom wishlist!
In lieu of getting me a personal gift for the holidays, please feel free to use our classroom wishlist to get something that the whole class can enjoy! As soon as it is complete I will post it! Stay tuned.

Since this is a long post, I will write a separate post this week with curriculum updates! This week's spelling list has been on Spelling City since last Friday. The secret word today is "unique." This week's tic-tac-toe is on Moodle. I will still give your child a copy of the tic-tac-toe for now though. Have a great week!
